It is hard to say goodbye to my loving patients
Tears flow through my eyes to my cheeks
Talking to their loved ones who became my loved ones
Over the period of months and years
As a kidney specialist I watch changing eGFRs
Today I realise my helpless status
My limit to pause their progress
Forgive me please if I ever thought
To be the ultimate in your support
Realise now what I am here
And How much in this Universe
Oh, Almighty!
Please give me the strength
And the Grace to do my best
To fulfil the aims and ambitions of their loved ones
Who always are my loved ones!
Bhavna Kalpesh Pandya
(Dedicated to my End Stage Kidney Disease Patients)
Acknowledging our very little status in the wide universe, we launched British Sanatan Doctors Forum (BSDF) dedicated to our patients, colleagues and our loved ones, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya अक्षय तृतीया), 14th May 2021, to help us the Sanatan doctors and healthcare professionals fulfil our roles for the Sanatan Community and beyond, through the faith we were born in and grew up with.
The word 'Sanatan' means 'the eternal' and is derived from Sanatan philosophy or Dharma which is a way of living that originated in the land of the Indian subcontinent many millennia ago and includes the main faiths of Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism and many more panths or their sub faiths as well.
"On this most auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya I give my prayers and best wishes that this new forum will significantly aid British Sanatan doctors across the UK and through them all other doctors by providing to them support from a Sanatan perspective of 'vasudaiva kutumbakam', the whole world is one family" - Swamini Atmaprakashananda - Arsha Vidya UK
We aim to look forward while looking back and being inspired by our great Sanatan philosophy.
